Looks great, would you ever consider porting this to Godot 4.x?
Hi, I've actually been working on a new version for Godot 4 for a few weeks now, but more open and flexible than the other version. Under the name “2Dto3D World-Builder”.
However, it is still under development and still too early for a first release.
That's great news :) Looking forward!
Can you send documentation and license information for this asset?
Hi Marc, at the moment there is no documentation. You can simply edit the scenes with the tilemap and see directly the effects in 3D. There is a whole example project included. Take a look at the source code and the scenes and learn from this example. The best way to learn is to try it out. Just do it. ;-)
hello, is it compatible with godot 3.2.2+ ? thanks
Hi Xevious67
Yes it is compatible. I tested it with Godot 3.2.2 stable and Godot 3.2.3 rc5.
Regards, Daniel
Is there a swinging or mele weapon option or is just shooting enemies?
Only shooting. But it's a template - change it! :-)
any tutorials on how to change it you would suggest? also, are you still updating it? if you add that mele function, would buy it!
just make the range of the shooting attack really short (1 unit) and add a different animation.
would love if it was Unity asset which I am familiar with buy bought none the less as I crawe 3D dungeon crawlers with low res art
You know C# right? Godot has mono/C# support! Give it a shot, you won't regret it! The C#/Mono support gets better every release. If you're a hobbyist, it'll do fine. It'll be commercial-ready soon. I left Unity after the TOS debacle earlier this year. They can change what they offer whenever they want with zero recourse. Godot, they change but you can always edit the engine itself.
What's the license like for this template? Is it okay for commercial use? And do you require attribution?
There are no restrictions. You can use it freely.
This is a Dream come true!
I am a HUGE nerd for dungeon crawlers!
I intend to make a silly dungeon crawler, You, my friend are a genius!
You NEED to get this! Extremely easy to implement but more importantly is the dev seems to be continually updating the project with more and more details and options. Can't recommend this highly enough!
